Meet Cindy

Cindy Bush is a Jeffersontown native who has worked in healthcare and senior care since 2010. She calls Simply Shift her calling rather than a career move.

She started as a dietary aide at Signature Healthcare East Louisville, became assistant director of activities at Kindred Healthcare running one-on-one activity therapy and sensory stimulation for residents, served as senior lifestyle specialist and director of sales for American Senior Communities, and worked in non-medical home care with Green Leaves, ElderCare 4 Families, and Home Instead Senior Care.

She earned her bachelor's in business and corporate communications at Western Kentucky University and her MBA at Sullivan University in 2020. That combination of senior care experience, communication training, and business discipline shapes how she leads a move.

A few years before starting Simply Shift, Cindy was driving and recognized a man named Marc at a bus stop with his bike and a "disabled/homeless" sign. He was the same man who had stopped to help her with a flat tire years earlier. She posted about him, asking whether anyone would drop off food, clothes, or a few dollars, and the Louisville response overwhelmed her.

With friends, family, strangers, and the Louisville community, Cindy raised five thousand dollars and got Marc into a home with new clothes, food, toiletries, and bedding right before Christmas. That experience helped clarify the work she wanted her life to hold.

She took her first Simply Shift client in March 2024 and has since worked with more than fifty families. In December 2024, she was named to the Marquis Who's Who list of Distinguished Leaders and featured in the Wall Street Journal. What she takes the most pride in is seeing a client with tears in their eyes when everything is set and the next phase of their life can begin.

Her goal is to exceed her clients' expectations and deliver outstanding, ethical and dependable services wherever it is her clients call home, and being dependable, trustworthy and on time is her commitment to every client she serves.

Her B.S. in Business and Corporate Communications from Western Kentucky University shapes the way she coordinates families, senior living communities, and service providers.

Fifteen years in senior care since 2010 means she understands residents, families, care settings, and the pace of decisions inside senior living.

Being named to the 2024 Marquis Who's Who list of Distinguished Leaders and featured in the Wall Street Journal, Central Edition, recognizes the professional path behind Simply Shift.

Her American Hospital Association Certificate of Attendance reflects continued learning in the healthcare world that surrounds many later-life moves.

Membership in the Health Services Provider Network keeps Cindy close to local senior care relationships and referral resources.

Supporting the Alzheimer's Association aligns with the families Simply Shift serves when memory loss changes the moving process.

Healthcare perspective

Experience connected to the care community.

Cindy's attendance at the American Hospital Association annual membership meeting reflects the healthcare background she brings to later-life transitions.

Lead personally

Cindy is the sole named team member. She leads every project personally and brings in vetted movers, contractors, and estate sale professionals as each job requires.

Tell the truth early

Families need clear guidance about space, timing, costs, community rules, and what can realistically happen before move day.

Make the first night familiar

The work is not finished when boxes arrive. The new place should feel recognizable before the family leaves.
